GN&P LAW announces the opening of GN&P Patents in association with Bandacorp PI, located at the Naval Magazine Area, Subic Bay Free Port Zone.
From the start, GN&P Law understands that writing, prosecuting and defending high-quality patents will require more than a law firm to do. This is because patent protection involves intertwined legal and technical aspects of a field of science being explored for an invention. Similarly, this involves the close and constant collaboration between lawyers and scientists.
Out of this need came the Firm’s reinforced patent department - GN&P Patents in association with BANDACORP PI.
Under the supervision of Atty. Greg Nunag, Managing Attorney of GN&P Law and intellectual property lawyer in the Philippines, prospective patent cases are evaluated for possible patentability in accordance with the requirements of the Intellectual Property Code and the patent rules and regulations in order to cover all legal aspects of the patent process from the prior art search down to the writing of the application and eventually, its prosecution.
On the other hand, with the supervision of Mr. Bob Silvers, CEO of Bandacorp PI and himself a US scientist with long years of experience in various fields of engineering and applied sciences, the technical aspets of the invention are carefully analyzed to provide over-all technical direction to the patent project. Assisting Mr. Silvers as technical consultants is a roster of university professors from top-notched engineering schools.
This formidable team also drafts and reviews patent applications intended for filing in various foreign jurisdictions such as the USPTO.
GN&P Patents in association with Bandacorp PI is now accepting cooperation proposal from foreign law firms and legal departments for the drafting and prosecution of Philippine patents or for the offshore drafting in the Philippines of patent specifications and technical drawings intended for filing in foreign jurisdictions.
